Maxis Gamez is a self-taught professional nature photographer living in Sarasota, Florida. He began photography as a hobby, but has decided to devote his passion, time, and energy to his craft full-time. Though photography, Maxis discovered a medium that enables him to express his creativity and use his skills to teach and educate other photographers. Gamez is capable of capturing wonderful images through his unique perspective. His images have been featured in local parks, galleries, published in magazines like Audubon, Shutterbug, Outdoor Photography Magazine, Nature Photographers, and now published by National Geographic in Bird Coloration and Birds of North America Pocket Guide.
Specializing in bird photography, Gamez captures images of nature such as wild birds and landscapes. He takes full advantage of the beauty of this wonderful state.
Parish Kohanim has been a successful commercial photographer for over 30 years and in 2004 opened his own Fine Art Gallery in Atlanta. He has been a Canon “Explorer of Light” since l994 when the program was initiated worldwide. He is also a Canon Master Printer. Parish served on an APPLE Advisory Board for the development of Aperture Software and he is an X-RITE Coloratti Pro. He gives presentations, seminars and workshops throughout the United States and abroad and has done so for many years. Parish is the recipient of dozens of awards over the years for his commercial work on major ad campaigns for many Fortune 500 companies. His ads have appeared in numerous national magazines, Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Forbes, Times and many others throughout his career. He was named one of the “World’s Top 100 Photographers” for three consecutive years by GRAPHIS.
Parish’s work has been featured on the cover of Graphis Nudes, Communication Arts, Professional Photographer, Digital Photo Pro several times along with featured articles about Parish’s work. In June of 2013 some of Parish’s Fine Art images were part of an exhibit of American artists shown at the Taylor Foundation in Paris and are now in a permanent collection in Barbizon, FR. His fine art photography is also represented in several galleries throughout the United States. Parish has been collaborating with Cirque du Soleil performers, shooting them performing and celebrating the beauty and astonishing capabilities of the human form. The result will be a unique coffee table book showcasing these amazing artists in stunning black and white imagery.

From the North (via I-75)
Take I-75 South to Exit 128, Alico Rd. Go east (left) on Alico Rd ffor a half mile. Go south (right) on Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy for two miles. Turn left at the stoplight at the main FGCU entrance (FGCU Blvd). Follow FGCU Blvd until the road ends and a the stop sign, turn left onto FGCU Blvd N. The Cohen Center and Sugden Hall are on the right after the stop light.
From the South (via I-75)
Take I-75 North to Exit 123, Corkscrew Rd. Go east (right) on Corkscrew Rd for a half mile. Turn north (left) on Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy; go three miles to FGCU entrance. Turn right at the stoplight at the main FGCU entrance (FGCU Blvd). Follow FGCU Blvd until the road ends and a the stop sign, turn left onto FGCU Blvd N. The Cohen Center and Sugden Hall are on the right after the stop light.
All guests should park in any of the parking garages or in the gravel lot located next to Sugden Hall. Parking passes are waived since this event takes place over Spring Break. Please do not park in reserved spots.

What does the Workshop Ticket include?
The workshop tickets are only available to Conference Ticket holders, and they include all of the offerings described in the workshop description and breakfast during registration. Workshop Excursions and On Campus Workshops are separate tickets. If you participate in any of the Full Day Workshop Excursion, you will not be able to attend any afternoon On Campus Workshops. If you participate in a morning Half Day Workshop Excursion, then you will be back in time for the afternoon On Campus Workshops (you will need to purchase two tickets to do the morning and afternoon).
What does the Conference Ticket include?
The Conference Ticket includes Speaker Sessions on Saturday and Sunday, access to the Trade Show and Mini Sessions on Saturday and Sunday, Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and the ability to purchase Pre-Conference Workshop Tickets at an additional fee.

After registering for the Conference Ticket, you will receive an email with a link to the Pre-Conference Workshop and Pre-Purchased Lunch ticket sales page.
Can I buy tickets onsite?
Yes! You can buy your tickets at the Conference, but it is more cost effective to purchase your ticket in advance. You can buy your ticket today here!
I already bought my conference ticket, how do I add a workshop?
When you registered for the conference, you receive a confirmation email. The link to Pre-Conference Workshop and Pre-Purchased Lunch tickets is included in the email. If you can’t find your confirmation email, you can email email@example.com for help!
Are the tickets refundable?
No. All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable.

What photography equipment should I bring?
Conference Registrants will email a list of recommended equipment for each Workshop and Speaker Session two weeks prior to the Conference. The printed program will include these details as well for once you are on campus.

What meals/refreshments are provided?
Breakfast will be provided on Friday for all Workshop Excursion attendees and on Saturday and Sunday for all attendees. You can pre-order a lunch once you purchase your Conference Ticket or you can purchase your lunch each day at one of the on campus restaurants. There are vending machines for water, sodas, and snacks in the Cohen Center. Additional dining options are available off campus at Gulf Coast Town Center.
Do you have any special rates setup with any area hotels?
Yes! We have group rates available at Homewood Suites and Hilton Garden Inn. Both are located very close to FGCU. You can find more information in the DISCOUNT HOTELS section of the website (scroll up).
